There
are many aspects of “going green”
that help protect the earth such as reducing
emissions and reducing the release of harmful
chemicals such as PCBs and pesticides to
reducing the use of our limited natural
resources namely fossil fuels.
UMS
is primarily focused on reducing utility
costs in multi- family properties which
has the dual effect of reducing the use
of fossil fuels and emissions. There are
many approaches and techniques to conserving
and reducing utility costs. Some of these
techniques have very little to do with residents
such as increasing insulation or upgrading
a boiler’s efficiency. |
